Jon-Micheal Rosmann
Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

It’s been said, “There’s no rest for the wicked.”  If that’s the case, Jon-Michael Rosmann would play the little-known ladle holder for the Three Witches in Shakespeare’s Macbeth. At an early age, he started piano, flute, and drum lessons and, in concert with his love of hunting and fishing, developed life-long serious hobbies. A couple of years ago, he was on the water or hunting 98 days of the year.  He’s one of those “all-in” types.

He touts the fact that he was born on a farm, that he re-built an ’82 Scrambler Jeep, and can stack a rack of hay nine-high. Jon graduated from The University of Iowa with a BA in Business Administration and a BA in Journalism and Mass Communication.  While at Iowa, he also continued working on his music, rowing as a member of the Men’s Crew Team, and writing. He got his first taste of politics and policy while working as a legal researcher for a law firm. He joined SPPG in 2001 and spent his first couple of years working as both a program manager and financial accountant on projects in Iowa and Nebraska.  He was named CFO in 2005 and Vice President in 2006.

“At SPPG, I can apply my interest in business, policy, and communication.  It is a company that has been in business for over two decades and has a history of integrity and excellent work. We truly believe that our committed and competent staff along with our core mission of social responsibility will ensure continued success for the next quarter century.”

In addition to his management responsibilities, Rosmann provides the primary leadership on SPPG’s public affairs projects. And he continues his frenetic schedule of indoor and outdoor activities. His hunting and photo safari in South Africa in 2007 was a complete success – digital photos and real trophies. He serves on the Iowa Prescription Drug Corporation Board of Directors, is active in Young Professionals of Iowa, and is a member of the Izaak Walton League. But hunting and fishing (even ice fishing), whether in the Midwest or Canada, are a part of the mix. Speaking of mix, watch for the album and club appearances of the Chris Ranallo Project, the band for which Jon writes some of its music and is the drummer.
